Overview
Pathways
Successful completion of the CPC10126 Certificate I in Construction course may support pathways into entry-level roles within the construction industry, including:
- Construction Labourer
- Trades Assistant
- General Labourer
- Construction Apprenticeships (e.g. Carpentry, Bricklaying, Concreting, Painting)
This qualification contributes to the qualification requirements for a Minor maintenance and cleaning License (Handyman License) – for full details and qualification requirements click here

To achieve this qualification, you must successfully complete 11 units:
- 8 core units
- 3 elective units.

- CPCCVE1011* Undertake a basic construction project
- CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
- CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
Elective units
- CPCCOM1014 Conduct workplace communication
- CPCCOM2001* Read and interpret plans and specifications
- CPCCCM2006 Apply basic levelling procedures

Course fees
This qualification is not a Traineeship and not funded by NSW Smart and Skilled.
